Once again, Evangelist Ojo Ade may be making history as he hosts members of his music constituency of the accordionists in their hundreds from leaders to followers.
Accordionists are those who use accordions, a musical instrument to produce melodious sound to the listeners.
Over the years, in gospel circle, accordions have become a reputable musical instrument used to produce melodious music desirable to the hearts of the listeners.
The modern use of the accordions for gospel music has been popularised by the likes of Pastor Sola Rotimi, a minister of the Christ Apostolic Church now based in the United States of America, Pastor Niyi Adedokun in Ilesa and Evangelist Ojo Ade spreading the gospel as an itinerant preacher, singer and soul winner.
This year, the accordionists would be gathering in their hundreds to share knowledge, learn and celebrate one another in what they tag Feast of Liberty featuring Accordionists’ Conference and Concerts, simplified as teaching, prayers and singinspiration.
All the programmes hold at Evangelist Ojo Ade’s base, Christ Gift Revival Ministry, City of Praise, 30 Evang. Ojo Ade Street, Alakuko, Lagos.
The Conference which holds on Friday 31st October 2025 begins with conference from 12noon to 6.00pm will be rounded off with an all Night Concert of Music presentation, celebration and prayers.
According to Evang. Tayo Amos, the National Coordinator, and one of the close aides of Evangelist Ojo Ade, coordinating the event, the gathering is put together under the auspices of Nigeria Gospel Accordionists, in conjunction with Evangelist Ojo Ade’s Ebun Jesu Music Ministry, and renowned accordionists, young and old, popular and up coming, male and female are expected from all parts of Nigeria.
“By the grace of God we will be expecting fellow accordionists from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Kwara, and as far as Kaduna, Kano and Abuja where we have members.
This is not the first time we will be having it like this, but with all indications, the 2025 edition is coming up with a difference. We are expecting our great leaders and respected Fathers like Pastor Sola Rotimi, Pastor Niyi Adedokun and Evangelist Ojo Ade to join us.
“There are other covenanted fathers and members who will be part of the event. We will be there to use the instrument of the accordion to join our talents and voices to come and appreciate God for the blessings of the accordion.”
Evang. Tayo Amos, the Ado-Ekiti based gospel singer further explained, “It is always a sight to behold, and we are using this opportunity to invite all gospel singers and musicians to join us in this unique gathering. There is so much to learn and there is much to showcase. It is to appreciate God.”
The atmosphere is already changing to reflect the mood of the day, as members are already showing their commitments and love for the historic event. Some of the prominent members expected are Pastor Kunle Aniyikaiye, the National Secretary, Pastor Dele Festus, Evang. Sina Oyinbo Jesu, Evang. Aiyeariwi and a host of others.
“It is one of the musical events to reflect the love of God among our gospel music stars, as one member reflects, “It is not about competition. We are here to show the world that great things happen when children of God come together in an atmosphere of love, and blessings abound.”
In the same vein the gathering will be a part of the annual celebration of Evang. Ojo Ade’s Ebun Jesu Gospel Singers’ 38th anniversary.
The celebration has Time of Freedom as the theme and it will be featuring early morning revival with Evangelist Emmanuel Femi Oyeniyi, from 7.00am through Monday to Thursday, 30th October, and it will be rounded off on Sunday November 2, 2025, with Thanksgiving Service.
