This day 7th December Bishop Felix Green Oluyemi Alayande mounts the 8th steps of life as he will be celebrating eight decades of his arrival into this world.
The celebration came up at his Altar Above Altars Prayer Camp, Aromokala, Off Ado Odo Road, Owode Yewa in Ogun State.
Bishop Alawode is the Rector of Bible Cannon Theological Seminary, and African Director and the President of
African Association of Christian Counsellors.
He believes the day should be used in appreciating God for seeing him through these 80 years, as he will use the
celebration to rededicate his life to the service of God and humanity.
We wish him more happy moments, power for renewed strength, and the grace to remain strong to the very end in
Jesus name.
The octogenarian, even at 80 is still very passionate about the wellbeing of Nigeria has consistently been calling for restructuring of Nigeria, believing that if the rulers of Nigeria seem not to believe and tolerate restructuring, they should give rearrangement a thought. https://ptlnewsonline.com/what-nigeria-must-do-before-2023-elections-bishop-felix-alawode/
The cleric, also a global missionary has ministered across the world winning souls and preaching the message of Jesus Christ. https://ptlnewsonline.com/nigerian-leaders-should-not-wait-until-god-forces-them-to-do-what-is-right-bishop-felix-alawode/.
The celebration is expected to be attended by eminent and distinguished ministers of God from Lagos and Ogun States.

Speaking at a special event to celebrate the milestone, Bishop Alawode committed all his appreciation to the Almighty God who it has pleased to grant him the honour of celebrating his 80th birthday.
“I have been asked to tell you why I have brought you to this camp for celebrating my birthday. It is to glorify God and appreciate Him.
“God has glorified Himself in my life and that is why I am glorifying Him too in return, and I am inviting you all to come and join me to glorify Him with me.
“This is not the way I planned it but children thought otherwise.
“I call you to this wilderness for God to prepare a table before you and when God prepares a table before you, you know what that means. In the 40 years of the journey of the children of Israel, God kept on preparing tables before them, and they lacked nothing.”
Bishop Alawode also told the modest gathering of family and ministers of God of the other reason why he was marking the day in his own way.
“Five years ago, my co-partner left me and slept in the Lord. It was on my birthday. She was sick actually, but that very day, 7th of December, 2017, as people were calling me to greet me for turning 75, others who heard about it early were calling me to greet me for her demise.
“When I was to celebrate my 70th, everybody knew all she did to make the day a great success with grandeur. She has gone while my journey continues.
“While thinking about this day I realised that when a child is born, nothing would be given to the celebrant of the day, likewise when he is dead.
This is one of the events you can use to use to eat and enjoy with the celebrant. This is one of the occasions we can come together and enjoy God in our lives.
“Somebody said, like a message sent to me from one of our groups, the message said, after 80, or even a day after 80 years, one has come to a Bye bye age.
“All I am doing now to prepare for the byebye lounge. It may be short or long. Science said it and the bible confirms it. Death is inevitable for all mortals.”
After this, the cleric went into his special message for the day.
“The message I have which I intend to share with you for today is Live Before You Leave.
It is the message from the group that I use to be a part of. That is the topic of my message. Live Before You Leave.
When they sent this, they did not add Bible verses but I have to research and think on it, and decided to add the word of God and share it with you all.
“Church, live your life for Christ before you leave.
“When I heard this I began to pray for the grace to use it in pleasing Him. One thing is to serve Him, it is another thing to please Him. We can please him only by keeping to the Great Commission which is to go to the whole world to preach the gospel of resurrection as in Matthew 25 verse 30 downward.
“It is a ministry the body of Christ must key in to, to be taking care of the people of God and the less privileged. This is the commission to the Church, not to Christians.
“Why many Christians are lacking today is because they have abandoned the Great Commission.
In John 15 from verses 1 to the end Jesus Christ told us how He and His father were one. The father lived in Him and He lived in the Father. There is unity between the Father and the Son.
“So if we are truly living in Him, and for Him, to live with Him will be sure. You will know where you are going after leaving this world.
“In John 14, Jesus told us of His Father’s mansion where He was going to prepare a place for us. Therefore the source of our living in Christ and the length of our living is forever.
“We should live for Christ before we leave to live with Him. Philippians 1.23 means If I am alive today is to win souls for Christ and when I am not on earth I will be with the Lord.
“If you see the vision of heaven, you will be speaking of it. It is a place where there is no trouble.
We cannot be on earth and be in heaven at the same time. The moment we leave the world we are with Him. The moment we leave the world we will be living with Him.
“We must be sure of where we are going after leaving here and that is the Kingdom of God.
“How many of you want to be there? No cost of living, no inflation, no scarcity, no kidnapping. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.”
Bishop Alawode used the occasion to appreciate his children home and abroad who were used to bring together the modest but colourful event.
He also used the event of the day to distribute raw food items to widows and widowers in memory of his late wife, Rev. Mrs. Janet Alawode.
In attendance were some ministers of God and associates of the Octogenarian. These were Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oludayitan, the General Overseer of New Creature Evangelical Church who was there with Rev. Dr. Peter Alinyoh, Pastor Kayode Obidiya, Elder Tunde Odessnya and Pastor Christian Dedenuola.
Some of his guests were there to pay glowing tributes to the celebrant for caring ministry, passion for souls and his readiness to help the needy.
Prayers were also offered for him for good health and a more resourceful life and ministry even in his old age.
