Father’s Day: Take Care of Your Parents- Evangelist Ojo Ade Charges Children

Evangelist Ojo Ade the renowned gospel music minister and preacher, and the General Overseer of Christ Gift Revival  Ministry has called on children to take care of their parents.

The man of God in a special message preached online to commemorate this year’s Fathers Day celebrated on Sunday June 20, 2020 charged grown up and well to do children to learn how to take good care of their parents especially in their old age.

The singer who began his message with a song on the subject matter called on children to take care of their parents so that they would earn the prayers of their parents and for them to enjoy the fruits of their labour for their own children in turn to take care of them.

The man of God in his message had condemned the culture, habit and practice where parents suffer in their old age, and later die due to penury but the children come around to hold flamboyant party and needless burial rituals and ceremonies.

Using the example of Joseph the dreamer in the bible, the Evangelist said Joseph provided a good example of what a responsible child should be, explaining that “Immediately Joseph met his brothers who he asked for was their father despite that he had not made himself known to them.

“He did not only ask for the father Jacob, but he sent special message to him and finally made sure that he brought him and the entire family and their properties to Egypt, and acquired a place for them nearby to relocate in Goshen.”

Evang. Ojo Ade also counselled children who are fond of taking away their mothers to the neglect of the fathers in the pretext of taking care of new born baby as he said the practice which leaves the old hapless father alone is not only unhealthy for the father but could endanger the old man.

He posited that there was nothing bad to take time out to bring the father to their homes, allow them to relate with their children and the grand children, and doing that would attract the blessings of the parents.

He in his admonition did not spare the daughter in laws. He clearly told them to allow their husbands to take care of their parents rather than tagging them with condemnable names and ungodly titles like witches and wizards to keep them away from their children..

In summary, the foremost accodionist said celebration of fathers and mothers should not be limited to a Sunday of the year but everyday of their life knowing that the parents would not be there with the children for very long time as he prayed that parents would not live to bury their children.
