Omije Oju Mi: The Vision Bunmi Akinnaanu ignored, that led to her current challenges, details revealed

Fresh facts are emerging of what possibly led to Evangelist Bunmi Akinnanu’s afflictions and complicated Omije Oju Mi’s health challenges.

A video clip which has gone viral recently shows the popular gospel singer in a church being attended to by a prophet ostensibly ministering to her for healing. She was seen with a bandaged hand and hip with some difficulties and pains of walking freely.

In reactions to series of requests made by her fans and followers to pray for her, a prophetic message which pointed to what she could later face was said to have been sent to her way back in the year 2021, which she condemned and ignored.

The message (unedited) which was directly sent to her in September 2021 read,

“Hello ma, this might sound absurd, you don’t know me, nor have I also seen you one on one physically before, but I am just a child of God like you. I hope you get to read this message by the mercies of God. I have not come to cook this story and I am not telling you for you to recognise me, but just for you to pray.

“Mum, in a vision of the night I heard some words in Yoruba, like ‘ti o ba tun raiye wa, (if you can come to this world again, you won’t be doing anyhow to them’)”. So very frightening. Very fightened, I asked, is she dead? Somebody answered me, Is this not her baby or something? We have killed her.

“Ma, I know nothing bad will happen to you, but still something like this requires prayers. I know you are a prayer warrior, kindly pray ma. That evil conspiracies over you and your ministry that God should fight for your cause. I have raised prayer altars for you, and I believe the vision will not come to pass, if only we will pray, God bless you ma.”
Rather thank take action Bunmi’s response was very combative, unchristlike and insulting as she began to abuse and rain curses on the messenger with unprintable words.

Her response, “You are very stupid, you lack manners. Ofa iku ko pa yin tiletile yin meaning arrow of death will kill you and your households. …Your life will spoil in Jesus name. Heaven will proclaim your death in Jesus name.”

She continued, ” You are mad oooooo for dropping such on my page. E maa seleya ni o. You will end up in shame.

“So you don’t see vision that Dangote want me. Vision of good things but death. O ya, lo ku iku ojiji loruko Jesu Olugbala….. Emi ki yio ku iku kiku kan nitemi. Mo nru apa Jesu Olugbala kiri. I don’t do this but you are a bastard. I dont know what we Christians turned this to. You just need my attention, awon were (mad people). Am reporting you to the police. And watch out for me.”

What a very rude response to a well meaning vision and revelation!
However, the messenger picked no offence in Lady Evangelist Bunmi’s reply. He or she rather chose to calmly explain to her respectfully in clear terms why she felt led to get her informed of the avoidable affliction.

She replied, “God strike me down if I am looking for your attention. In fact what prompted me to send you a DM was because I felt I should tell you, if not I won’t tell you, and I believe you are a matured Christian ma. I don’t ask for money from you, I don’t say give me attention. I only said, pray. That’s all. If that is too much, kindly discard my message. I am so sorry, but God sees I didn’t cook up this to get to you. All is well with you ma.”

Perhaps the Omije Oju Mi crooner would have avoided this calamity had she yielded to words of the vision and the counsel offered by the messenger.
Be as it may, it is the way out that Bunmi, her fans and well wishers are seriously looking for.

But what is clear is that if the singer had yielded to the instructions of the vision, the calamity would have been avoided which would have possibly made the visioner a liar.

Here are some reactions and comments from responders on the Social Media.
Peter Akindele wrote, “God can never be guilty of anything that happens especially to His children, because He would have revealed it either to the person or through another. No matter how powerful or highly anointed, God cannot tell you everything, sometime He may send someone. Your own is to take the message, discern and pray over it. God have mercy on us. Lo and behold enemy can deny/deprive a man of his days/years if care is not taken. (Isa.38:10, Job.14:5.) Please let us humble ourselves like Jesus. The Lord will heal our sister in Jesus name.

From Aweda Richard, “All I expected her to say concerning the vision is thank you to the person. Then, she should go back and intensify her prayers to ward off the vision. If the vision is true, the prayers will work on it the positive way for her .
A lesson for others to take a cue from. No matter how serious the prophecy or the vision may be, genuine prayers to the Almighty God will not allow it to manifest.”

Makinde Temitope Peterebenez, “The bible is so complete….Pride goes before a fall! Whereas a lamp can never be lit to see its underneath by itself (Atupa ko le riran ri idi ara re). Sometimes God uses the fool to trouble the wise, but our lack of discerning spirit and spiritual brokenness will make us miss or misinterprete a clear message from God through whoever he cares to send to us. But anyway, God will have mercy on you and forgive you of your ignorance.”

Olufemi Kayodupe, “Her response is too hash. She should have said ok thank you and also pray against it either truth or not.”

Ibukun Olaniyi, “She rejected the one that God has sent to her probably out of pride. There’s nothing like bad vision. God can send anyone to pass a message to you. If the person had been one of our great prophets, would she have replied like this? Every action has its own predictable consequence. The Lord will be merciful upon you, Omije.”

Olorunda Stella Bolanle Apata, “Her response was out of fear and shock. Please pardon her and let’s pray for her. God’s peace and protection upon her, her ministry and abode.”

Fehintola Fayehun, “She is too harsh in her response after all, the person did not demand for anything in return. It’s a lesson anyway. Even if you’re vice God, He can still talk to you from any channel. O ga o.”

Femi Osifade,”Her answer demonstrates the type of Christianity that is practised in Nigeria. An excessive dependence on the well-known and big Men fo God at the expense of the real messengers. That being said, Hebrews 3:15 cautions us against hardening our hearts when we hear His word, regardless of the messengers. In the name of Jesus Christ, may she receive mercy from the LORD and complete victory. “Amen.”

David F. Pelumi, “Wow I don’t expect that type of a reply from her somehow. She’s not practising what she’s singing.”

Finally, there is a lesson to be learnt by everyone. May the Lord forgive our cherished Sister Bunmi Akinnaanu, and heal of her afflictions in Jesus name. Let us all continue to lift her up in our prayers.
