2022 Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons: The New Seraph Empowers 250 Youths, Rolls Out and Bags Awards

The annual Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons of Dr. Mrs. Oluwaseye Yomi Sholoye’s The New Seraph has come and gone.

One fact about it that will long remain evergreen was the impact she made on hundreds of the youths and members of the Church.

One of the high points of the event was the presentation of certificates to over 250 youths who graduated in a special skill acquisition training instituted by the church leader.

The Carol Service featuring presentation of certificates to skill acquisition beneficiaries was held  on Tuesday 20th December, 2022 at the prestigious 10 Degrees Event Centre, Billingsway, Oregun, Lagos with the theme King of kings.

Many important dignitaries within and outside the church were at the event.

The empowerment programme was one of Iya Aladura General’s kind outreach to the young members of the Church.

With this it was reasoned that this would be able to provide opportunities to make a living out of their new vocations.

The youths were trained in handiworks like Book Binding, Makeup and Gele, Media Productions (Using Phones), Events Decorations, Soap Making, Handcrafts, and Palm Slippers making.

Many of the members left with various equipment for empowerment like Tricycles, Coolers, grinding machines and like stuffs.

Dr. Mrs. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye has been making impacts with her New Seraph Fellowship and among members in general with spirit filled conferences, training and inspirational programmes, and empowerment for the members.

The Carol Service also witnessed the presentation of an award to the Iya Aladura General from  Bethel Leadership Centre represented by Bishop Akinloye Ojo of Livingway World Outreach, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

In a similar development the Lagos State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Steve Adegbite also announced the nomination of The New Seraph Leader with an award as a Patroness of CAN in Lagos State, as he promised that the award would be presented at the 2023 annual Interdenominational Service of Can in February 2023.

Bishop Adegbite delivered the message at the service.

In his sermon, titled King of kings, after the theme of the service, the CAN leaders explained to the congregation that Jesus Christ was the Reason for this season, that the reign of Jesus had no limit from the beginning of the earth till when the earth will be no more.

He charged all lovers of Christ to go all out to show love to their neighbours and everyone within reach, saying “As you celebrate Christmas, don’t forget Jesus. He is the Reason for the Season.

He also assured that next year general elections in Nigeria would be peaceful and hitch-free, stressing that there was no reason for Nigerians to panic.

He said, “The message for 2023 is peace. Peace be still,” using the response of Jesus to the disciples while the storm rages, he said, “Jesus told them ‘Peace be still’ as he declared peace. “God is now saying to us, there won’t be trouble for Nigeria next year. No confusion next year. Before, during and after the elections there will be no shaking in Nigeria next year.”

The service also feature different ministrations in melodious Christmas songs by The New Seraph Choir, Carol Songs, Special ministration by Music Students of Lagos State University of Education, and other song ministers like Ololade Adeleke, Ewa Jesu, drama and other God exalting programmes.

The service was attended by ministers of God, traditional and community leaders and members of The New Seraph.

There were also presentations of plaques and cash awards for winners in competitive mobilisation for the different programmes of the Church.
