Following various scandals raised by Actress Halima Abubakar and some other ladies, Apostle Suleman’s wife, Dr. Lizzy Johnson Suleiman, has come to speak out to defend her husband and marriage of 19 years.
In a video making the rounds, Mrs Lizzy Johnson said she was so sure that her husband was not involved in all he was being accused of.
She said she chose to speak because of how well she knew her husband, who she has been with for 19 years.
According to her, she and her husband have never had issues over a woman or extra marital affairs, in all their years of marriage.
Meanwhile, the cleric at the centre of the controversy, Apostle Suleman has filed a law suit against the ailing actress over defamation of his character.
The preacher, through his legal representatives, Ephesus Lex Attorneys and Solicitors, brought Ms Abubakar before Justice. J. Enobie Obanor of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
He asked the court to direct the defendant to publish a retraction of her defamatory statements posted on her Instagram handle and on several online blogs and newspapers.
He also asked the court to compel Halima to pay for the deletion of all links and reportage of the said defamatory comments on all platforms on the internet.
Suleman also demanded the sum of N1 billion as aggravated and exemplary damages for libel, an order of perpetual injunction restraining her from further publishing or causing to be published the said or similar defamatory statements.
He is also asking that Halima be made to pay the sum of N20 million for legal fees.
The case comes up for hearing on 25th March 2023.

Stephanie Otobo, the Canada-based Nigerian singer, once called out Apostle Johnson Suleman, alleging that he had an affair with her. The duo have been embroiled in wrangling for over five years now.
She also claimed the sexual affairs between them got her pregnant, alleging that Suleman subsequently gave her a concoction to drink to terminate the pregnancy.
Halima Abubakar, a Nollywood actress, has also alleged that she was in a romantic relationship with the popular preacher.
Among numerous allegations, the actress said Apostle Suleman was behind an unnamed life-threatening ailment that plagued her for years and that he reneged on his promise to marry her.
Besides all these entanglement with controversial ladies, Apostle Suleman is also known for many of his controversial prophecies and pronouncements which pitched him against some powerful interests in the public place.
The controversial pastor in reaction has said the allegations were part of Satanic plans to pull him down, but with a strong determination he assured that no power of the enemy could damage his life, family and ministry.
