For an umpteenth time, the Eternal Gospel Believers Association African Zion, popularly known and called the EGBAAZ on Monday 3rd October, 2022, gathered concerned Christians and members of the association in what they called African Zion Independence Reality Conference 2022, to commemorate the 62nd independence anniversary of Nigeria.
The programme had as its theme Divine Election and the Elects: The Final Say From Zion. It was held at the premises of Christ Gospel Apostolic Church Cathedral, Oshodi, Lagos in conjunction with CAN and all Christian body in Lagos State.
Taking a look at the lingering problems of Nigeria, the host, Rev. Dr. Taiwo Olutade blamed Nigerian Christians for the present state of the country where the country is suffering from leadership problems and the followers are made to suffer serious hardship.
According to him, Christians which he tagged as the elects, have abdicated there God ordained roles and responsibilities to pursue selfish and mundane things of this life.
He said, “Today it is very difficult to see true elects in the church. What you see are self-claimed problem solvers. The elects are not walking in God’s will but in errors. Satan and its angels have rendered the elects poor and that is why they find it difficult to do things. The elects are the reasons behind Nigeria’s problems.
“Therefore, slaves have taken over the heritage of the children of God. The world will not have peace until they serve God. To overcome sin these days is very difficult because it is the end time. The elects shall be deceived. Because of the elect the days of evil will be shortened.
The elects were chosen to be holy from the foundation of the earth and God is the source of every government and leadership. It is the elects that give leadership to strangers like Adam handed over the world to Satan inadvertently. The world is now going back to idolatry because the Church has abdicated its divine roles. Except redemption takes place the world cannot know peace or have rest.
Rev. Olutade who condemned the ideas of self-righteousness, equal rights or human rights explained that all these rights do not recognise God. Church, he said, “is a kingdom of priests and holy nations and only those that are elected from heaven can dictate the results of actions in Nigeria.
Speaking on elections that bring about violence, the cleric said that there was no way human election would not lead to killing people noting that the bible says “the kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. Only the children of God can interpret the revelation of God. If the son makes you free you shall be free indeed, says the bible.”
On miracles, deliverance and other gimmicks used by the ministers, Dr. Olutade explained that “miracles cannot make you a part of the kingdom of God but revelation and repentance, justification, sanctification and baptism of the Holy Spirit which is the foundation of our faith. Any church that lacks these things is not in Christ.
“Every church must be working under the order of Melchizedek and any church that does not work under Melchizedek order is out of God’s agenda and that is why the church is having problems today. God’s kingdom is not corruptible but human kingdom is corruptible and idolatry. If we are not established in priesthood we cannot enjoy kingship. What the church is doing is just packaging of sinners and not perfecting of the saints. The children of God working under the Melchizedek order is empowered to pursue, overtake and recover.
Noting different gifts of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Dr. David Taiwo Olutade noted that “Our gifts in life are from the spirit of God, and all gifts and works of the ministry. It is God that does healing and deliverance but Satan has dominion over man but that cannot change the priesthood and lordship of man.
“As many that have received him gave he the power to be children of God. That was why Jesus asked the disciples who the people called him and who he was. Receiving Christ is by election. Anything that is opposing Zion in Nigeria will never stand. Nigeria is of God,” he assured.
In the country we are the elect because we are created in the image of God. After the flood, God brought out Noah by election.
The church of God is not built on worship materials like candle, cloth or oil. We must rise against what will make us fall back into the world. The moment you fall under the grace your election will be annulled. Chief M.K.O. Abiola won the 1993 election but the election was annulled. Hope ’93 was not the plan of God, it is not the hope of man, Jesus is the hope of the world.”
In the same vein, another speaker, Apostle Dr. Lordslight Oshinbowale of God’s Kingdom Church Ikorodu agreed with his host Dr. Olutade that the Church has long lost the focus of the great commission.
“This is a critical season in the history of mankind, where abnormality is taken to be normal. Our world has been turned upside down. We have been called to raise what has been turned down.”
Quoting Matthew 24.14, the cleric affirmed that the end would not come until the message of the gospel is preached all over the world. “That is the work of the elect. Mark 16.15 tells children of God to go and preach the gospel to all nations, that is the Great Commission. It is the commission of the elect but unfortunately today the church has lost focus of the commission. Satan has hijacked it from them by introducing strange doctrines and religion to man, and that battle has consumed millions of souls today.
On the state of the nation, Apostle Oshinbowale said “Nigeria is a spiritual nation and that is why the devil is fighting against its survival. Nigeria is the power house of God in Africa and that is why powerful men and women of God are raised in Nigeria.”
He expressed regrets that the Muslims were in control of the government of Nigeria, noting that the plan to Islamise Nigeria was real, he added that “We should know that politics belong to the children of God. How do you imagine pagans deciding our fate from the shrines? Joel 2.17 says it is an abomination for unbelievers to rule believers.
“It is time to take back our inheritance and that can only be done by election. The elects must elect those that are supposed to rule us. Let everyone continue to preach the gospel of the kingdom to all creatures. We need to take a new direction in the kingdom. Where there is no justice there cannot be peace. Love, joy, peace, mercy, goodness are the message of the gospel.”
He expressed the hope that Nigeria could overcome the current insecurity problem, “not by gun or physical weapon but by showing and preaching love.
“Love is more powerful than any weapon in the world. The greatest weapon the devil is using against the church today is division, disunity and denominationalism. How are we going to conquer it? There is not going to be any denomination in heaven. What the Muslims are doing is the fight against what Sarah did to Hagar. All we need to do is to show love to all people and do what is right as a people, Nigeria’s problems would become things of the past.”
