For seven nights between 6th and 12th February, 2023, Pastor Amos Jegede of CAC Ibudo Alaafia aka Hephzibah will be playing host to lovers of prayers and those who want to experience serious transformation and regeneration in their life in the year 2023.
The programme will hold every night from 11.00pm at the church premises, Block 66, Plot 1541, Ojikutu Ajayi Road, Heritage Federal Housing Estate, Off Last Bus Stop, Aboru, Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
Popularly known as Oru Atunyan, Nights of Recreation, the nights will be expected to attract hundreds and thousands of worshippers in their number to receive new gifts for the journey of the year 2023.
The programme which has Ephphata as its theme would be moments of prayers, sharing of the word of God and prophetic revelations for the week long event.
Speaking in a special interview with PTL News, the Host Minister, Pastor/Prophet Amos Babatunde Jegede said the programme would be all encompassing in its expectations, and its delivery, in miracles and testimonies.
“It will be a week of salvation experience, divine blessings and breakthrough with healing and deliverance taking place,” he maintained, adding that “It is our practice to present ourselves before the Lord at the beginning of every year.”
Expected to minister along Pastor Jegede is a team of highly anointed guests ministers of God like Prophet Olayiwola Elisha, Prophet Olorunfemi Daomi, and Evang. Oluwatoyin Biara Samuel as Guest Artiste while Lady Evangelist B. Jegede, Lady Evang. J. Omotan, and Evang. A. Akinseboye, assist from the Church.

To Pastor Jegede, apart from using the nights to appreciate God for what He has done in the past years, it would serve as another opportunity for participants to present their requests and aspirations before God for the New Year.
“Apart from praying for ourselves as individuals, we will pray for the church of God in Nigeria and other parts of the world, as well as to specially present Nigeria before God most especially in this crucial year of 2023 elections.”
The programme according to Prophet Jegede is a covenant between him and God.
“It has been a covenant between me and God since 2009. That is the way God directed us to open each year. It is a covenant with God. We use it to present ourselves before God and it is meant for everybody that believes in God and believes in prayer.
“Whether you are a servant of God, a business man or woman, government officials or politicians, it is our way of presenting our needs before God with white fasting and prayer, for salvation, for victory and for blessings, and there are clear evidences and testimonies that God answers our prayers,” he further explained.
Speaking further, Prophet Jegede stated that participants would be coming from far and wide. “It is not a local programme. People come from far and within the community here. Many people have keyed into the covenant, so much that we have participants from Lagos and Ogun States, other people invite family members and friends to be part of the programme. All we do is to pray and expect God to answer us, and He does it by His covenant with us.
“It is a programme of seven nights and it begins every first Monday of every February. It is a programme which God uses to open the door of His goodness to every participant. The programme holds from 11.00pm till 3.30 programme.
“We have participants from all parts of Lagos, from Victoria Island, Badagry, Ikorodu, Alagbado and even from Ogun State.
“Our expectation from the theme of the programme Ephphata is for God to open doors. God will use it to open doors of blessings, of wealth, ministerial growth, vision and development, marital success, those who want to get married would get their spouses, those seeking the fruits of the womb would get their children. It is an avenue for God to use it to open doors. God has also used the programme to open doors of international travels to many people and we expect Him to do more again this year.
On occasion like this the man of God is also mindful of the situation in Nigeria being an election year.
For Nigeria, he said, “We will pray that God use it to give us good leaders through the general elections. We will pray that God use it to give us good leaders. God will use it to open doors of peace for Nigeria. We will use it to pray for Nigeria for the country and genuine Church of God.
“We will pray against wars and religious strives. Even though some people may see war we will be using prayers to avert it. Because it is the devil that does evil, God does good at all times.”
On the impact and role of prophets in Nigeria, Prophet Jegede who still believed there are still genuine prophets in the country said, “There are still prophets in Nigeria, but for a nation that does not appreciate God, they will always be misled even by false prophets. Nigeria needs genuine prophets. We need direct message from God. We ministers of God in particular need prophecies. God knows what He is doing.
“My vision for Nigeria is of peace. I don’t see that Nigeria will separate. My prayer is that the plans and purposes of God will be fulfilled in Nigeria. All troubles that make Nigerians to run to other countries to be used as slaves God will stop it. Our land of birth should not be made a battle front for us. We need to enjoy peace and progress in Nigeria. There is no place like home.

We must pray that peace reigns in Nigeria, we must pray for good leaders in Nigeria, we must make Nigeria habitable and a home to all people even non Nigerians.
“As a servant of God, the bible says in Matthew 12:33, ‘Make the tree to be good and its fruits would be made good’, there is nothing happening in Nigeria that is not known to God. There is no way trouble will enter into a town without God knowing about it. I believe God knows about all that are happening in Nigeria. Yet there is nothing with beginning but without end. Let us believe an end will come to the present troubles Nigeria faces as a country.
“Let us have the fear of God in our heart. If we have the fear of God we will not cause anguish for our fellow human beings. We will not do evil if we have the fear of God. Whatever the situation of this country, good or bad those who will do good will do it and those who will do evil will still do evil, but the fear of God will make us run away from evil. May God plant His fear in our hearts in Nigeria. If we allow the fear of God in our hearts, that is when God will have mercy on Nigerians as a people.
Pastor Jegede in conclusion commended Aboru Community for its peaceful nature and encouraged the residents to embrace more of prayers and love for the community. “Let them encourage peace in the community. Aboru is a peaceful community and we pray the peace is sustained.”
