An ordained Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church has emerged as the traditional ruler of Ila odo in Odo Otin Local Government of Osun State. He is Pastor Benjamin Ajibade Abiona who until his coronation was the Senior Pastor of CAC Oke Iyanu in Dopemu Area of Agege, Lagos.
On assumption of office he has been known as the Onila of Ila Odo, His Royal Highness Pastor Oba Benjamin Ajibade Aderinola Olorundunsin Ilufemiloye Abiona Oluwajobi the First.
He was presented by the Olupo Ruling House, and was crowned the traditional way on Monday August 10, 2020 after approval by the Governor of the State of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.
His emergence has got the blessing of the General Evangelist of CAC, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji who was instrumental to a special prayer for the new traditional ruler and anointed him.
Oba Abiona in a brief chat expressed his thanks to God the Almighty for making His promise and plans come to reality in his life and, to the Chiefs as well as the sons and daughters of Ila Odo for their supports and cooperation.
According to him, his emergence and coronation has earlier in his life been mentioned by the legendary late Prophet Samson Akande of Ede Prayer Centre.
Oba Abiona, a London trained accountant and an accomplished business man before he became a Pastor planned to bring true development to the community.
Top on his priority are modern community town hall, trade and training Centre and employment for the youth, and building a beffitting palace for the community.
Oba Abiona who has also met with both traditional and religious leaders in the community disclosed that the formal presentation of Staff of office would be performed later, as a planning committee to that effect would be put together by the leaders in the community.
