ABUJA – The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has celebrated the 70th birthday of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), describing him as a legend of faith.
According to the apex Christian body, Bishop Oyedepo’s seven decades of life have been marked by unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel, transformative leadership, and remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
CAN further stated that his ministry has empowered millions, promoting spiritual growth, education, economic empowerment, and social upliftment.
In a statement on Friday, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of CAN, praised Bishop Oyedepo’s tireless efforts, noting that his teachings on faith, prosperity, and resilience have provided hope and direction during Nigeria’s challenging times.
Okoh commended Oyedepo’s steadfastness in preaching love, unity, and faith, reinforcing the Church’s essential role in addressing pressing national issues.
He noted that as a respected religious leader, Bishop Oyedepo has inspired a new generation of Christians, encouraging believers to spread the message of Christ’s love. His life serves as a shining example of the power of faith in action.
