Fellow African leaders have been told to support the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore in his efforts to salvage and liberate Africa. This was the view of Prophet Samson Omotunde JP, the Minister in Charge of Salem Mountain of Peace, Aiyetoro, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Prophet Omotunde in his message to Africa likened the relationship between Africa and the developed world to that of the biblical Esau and Jacob, noting that like Europe was responsible for the poverty in Africa, that a time would come when Africa would be strong enough to challenge their supremacy and get back what Europe had stolen from Africa, and that bis the cause being led by Ibrahim Traore.
He said, “the young Burkinabe President is as a covenant leader who was brought to emancipate Africa from western domination. He was chosen by God to lead his people. He could be likened to the story of Isaac, with Esau and Jacob.
Explaining further, Prophet Omotunde said, “In the Bible, Isaac and Rebekah had twin sons, Jacob and Esau. Esau was born first and was the legal heir to the family’s birthright. However, Jacob tricked Esau into selling him his birthright in exchange for food. This led to conflict between the brothers and their descendant nations. Esau was a skilled hunter and his father’s favorite. Jacob was a simple man who lived in tents and followed the Lord. He was his mother’s favorite.
“When Isaac requested Esau to prepare meat for him, Rebecca heard and told Jacob and prepared the meat for him to present to the father. On receiving it Isaac detected that the flesh was that of Esau but the voice was that of Jacob. He deceitfully collected the blessings meant for Esau. By the time Esau came Jacob had taken the blessings away, but Isaac still prayed for Esau saying by the time he became very powerful, all that had been taken away from him would be restored.” (Gen. 27.40)
In the same way, Prophet Omotunde, also well known for his dream interpretations was of the view that President Traore was all out to free Africa, and to take back all what the Americans and Europeans had taken away from African countries that made the black people slaves to the white. These according to him are things like gold, silver, diamond, and even oil products.
The prophet submitted that “God has blessed the Burkinabe president to be the face and the leader of Africa and prophesied that whatever attempts his enemies make against him to kill him would not be successful.”
He therefore called on all Africans to back him up, and when the time comes his mission in Africa would be understood. He should be followed and be supported. He is African messiah,” he emphasized.
Ibrahim Traore, born 14 March 1988 is a Burkinabe military officer who has been the interim leader of Burkina Faso since the September 2022 coup d’état that ousted interim president Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba. At age 37, Traore is currently the second youngest serving state leader in the world after Icelandic Prime Minister Kristrun Frostadottir, and the youngest serving president. Apart from fighting the terrorists in he has also brought some reforms which according to critics are yet to make the expected impact in the crisis ridden African nation.
