It was an outpour of encomiums and showers of appreciation to the Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, an astute politician, a well respected spiritual icon and a member of Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council.
Cardinal Odunmbaku turned 76 on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Torrents of congratulatory and birthday messages monitored by PTL News showed how much the Cardinal was known and respected, from individuals that relate with the political leader to the seat of the Lagos State government.
The Governor Babajide Sanwoolu led Lagos state Executive described him as a strategic grassroot politician worthy of celebration as they prayed to God for divine protection, long life and sound health for him.
In one of the remarks, it was stated “The joy of every business owner is to see the business thriving; the joy of every teacher is the success of the students; and the joy of every parent is to see the child growing to become somebody in life,” with the corollary on the other hand, that “It is also a thing of joy seeing one’s leader, guardian and mentor thriving and being celebrated on a special day” like his birthday.
Another remarks has it that, “Whatever ways people have been describing Cardinal Odumbaku Omolaja James (Baba-Eto), former APC Deputy State Chairman, a worthy member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), undoubtedly and befittingly deserves the accolades showered on him as a proven progressive, a leader, a grassrooter, a visionary personality, a Solid Mobilizer, a Stabilizer and a Quintessential Lawmaker” the State Executive Council eulogized.
They continued, “Indeed you have proven yourself as a bulwark of democracy, a quintessential leader, a true servant of the people, a role model, particularly to all young progressive politicians in Lagos State and in Nigeria at large.
“Through clear actions and deeds, you have unambiguously demonstrated high values and contributed immensely to the development/stability of our noble party and Lagos State
“Today is not only special for you, but also for everyone you’ve touched through your many acts of exemplary leadership,” “, they extol the classic lawmaker and a diehard progressive leader.

Rounding it off with prayer, they wrote, “Our prayer from the Greater Lagos Team, ably led by the workaholic Governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for you on this auspicious occasion of your birth anniversary is that God Almighty grant you long life in good health and happiness, protect you against all evils, uplift you in all facets of life, above all, take you to the very peak of your heart desire.”
Also in their good will messages, members of Christ Ambassadors Soul Winners Ministries, International, a body of ministers of God that take it upon themselves to continue to lead Lagos State and Nigeria, and global peace as a whole in intercessory prayers also showered their own encomiums for the exemplified leadership qualities of Cardinal Odunmbaku.
Bishop Rufus Oguntuase, in his message said, “You are an exemplary and visionary church leader who has dedicated his life to winning more souls into the kingdom of God. May God continue to increase your knowledge and wisdom. May He grant you good health and strength to deliver His words to the people till your last breath.
In the same vein Apostle Titus Oridota also wrote, “On behalf of my family, and Christ Centered Reformation Ministries, I congratulate our Father in the Lord, His Eminence, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, on the occasion of your 76th birthday. May the Lord continue to increase, lift you, protect, and grant you good health to fulfill your divine mandate on earth. Happy Birthday. Congratulations Daddy, more graceful years ahead in Jesus name.”
Last Friday September 2, 2022, Cardinal James Odunmbaku led Christ Ambassadors Soul Winners Ministries International inaugurated Soul Winners’ Bishops’ Council.

The inauguration which came with Awards and decorations had distinguished ministers of God and eminent personalities as members of the council. Among these were honourable Justice Oluseun Shogbola (Rtd.), Elder Abiodun Shopitan, Bishop Ajibola Ezekiel, Bishop David Shonibare and a host of others. 26 new members were inaugurated.

Bishop Kayode Williams in a short message explained that the new council would be expected to mobilise Christians and members of the general public for political activities by the time the government gave an order for them to do so.
Also present were Bishop R. O. Oguntuase, Archbishop Ehindero, Bishop Julius Oridota, Bishop David Adebayo Abiola, a group of Igbo leaders, Bishop Olorunfemi and Archbishop Yemi Fatade.
