GOMAN HOLDS NATIONAL ELECTION

All is set for the General Election of the National body of the Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria.

Hopefully by the 15th of February, 2023 the Evangelist Funmi Aragbaiye led executive will be passing the baton to another set of executives.

Information reaching PTL News revealed that the immediate past Chairman of GOMAN in Lagos State, Evangelist Phillip Olayiwola aka Pholat is seriously rooting for the post of the National President.

A release made available by the specially constituted National Election Committee also has it that a number of other contestants have indicated interests in piloting the affairs of the association in the coming dispensation.

The list of the candidates who have been screened already cited by PTL News has the following candidates.

President: Evang Philip Olufemi Olayiwola, Deputy President: Hon Pastor Paul Bonny Ayodele,  V.P. West: Pastor  Kayode Emmanuel Ogunniyi, V.P. North:  Pastor Samuel Oluwakayode.

Two candidates are eyeing the seat of the General Secretary, and these are Evang. Boladale Stephen Amzat and Pastor. Moses Dare Peter.

For the post of Assistant General Secretary is Evang. Olubukola Omodele Ilupeju. Others are Treasurer – Prophetess  Christianah Folashade Bello, Financial Secretary: Evang Ruth Joy Oladejo Olalere, Prayer Coordinator: Pastor Mrs. Stella Adeniyi Ajayi, Internal Auditor: Evang. Dolapo Ogunbajo, Chief Whip: Evang  Opeyemi Toyin Bello Oladipupo, Enrolment Officer: Psalmist Samuel Olubayo, Welfare1: Evang. Gloria Oladiti Oyenike, Welfare 2: Evang Oluwaseyi Oyebode Oyebanji, and Protocol: Prince Oluwole Adekunle.

Based on the request channeled through the office of our President, that we should extend the screening for a period of five days. In compliance  with this, we have extended and opened windows of opportunity for interested members that were left out or unable  to meet up with the screening and still want to vie for one post or the other should do so on time, so that they can be screened and published within the stipulated period without fail.

In the release signed by the GOMANEC SECRETARY and CHAIRPERSON

APOSTLE RAPHAEL BABALOLA and EVANG. DR. DAMOLA OMONIJO, respectively, all the serving officers were directed to forward their resignation letter appropriate quarters to avoid disqualification.

“The date of election is still 15th of February, 2023 and it is sacrosanct. By this information, all candidates can immediately swing into action and embark on purposeful and peaceful campaign devoid of rancour and calumny,” they advised.

Wishing all the contestants the best of luck the GOMANEC officials said, “This election shouldn’t be a do or die affairs” as they promised to make it “transparent, free, fair and peaceful.

 “Be reminded that we are God’s general with stellar qualities of our Jesus Christ. In John 3:27, the bible says, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven(NIV).
