Gospel Singer Dunsin Oyekan Survives Ghastly Auto Crash, Fans Jubilate, Thank God For Him

A popular Nigerian gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan, was on Saturday involved in a car crash along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. He, however, came out of the accident unscathed.

The singer and members of his band were going to minister at a youth programme organised by Bishop Wale Oke, of The Sword of The Spirit Church, as part of their annual convention and the 40th anniversary of the Church in Ibadan when the accident occurred.

The artiste and his crew were said to be travelling in an SUV Toyota Prado Jeep when the crash occurred with a trailer truck around Sapade, Ishara area of Ogun State on Saturday afternoon.

He and the other victims were said to have been rescued by officials of Eagle Crime Awareness and Prevention Initiative (ECAPI) who stopped while on their way to Ibadan on an assignment to provide the timely rescue.

The gospel minister later arrived Ibadan to minister at his host church.

Testimony

Sharing the testimony of how he and his crew survived the crash, Dunsin revealed, “If you saw the accident scene that I came out of, you can never believe that I walked out of that thing alive. Today we were coming here, and to think that we were coming here, I said let me sleep a bit for the meeting, so that we can be refreshed for the meeting, the next thing I knew was that we were somewhere I did not know. The jeep had gone under the trailer.”

Quoting Psalm 23 verse 4, he said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

He continued, “If you are looking for a miracle, this is a miracle standing before you standing here. I am a living miracle.

Bishop Wale Oke Reacts

Reacting, the host Bishop Francis Wale Oke responded, “Did you hear well his testimony? It would have been an obituary. The jeep was a total write off. I was to come to the meeting when Pastor Isaac called me and said Pastor Tosin was involved in a bad accident. I was standing here when I was told he was here. I had to step out to walking him in myself.

The music star later performed at the church in the presence of his chief host Bishop Wale Oke who is also the president of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.

The gospel musician has also expressed his gratitude to God after he survived the road accident.

While announcing the crash on his social media page on, he disclosed that he was “perfectly okay” despite the accident.

Taking to his Instagram page, he gave God the praise, saying he was perfectly okay after the accident.

He said, “Indeed God is Sweet to Worship (OLUWADUNSIN). God is my glory, the lifter up of my head. “The keeper of Israel neither sleeps nor slumber, He watches over His word to perform it. “Glory to God now and forever more. I remain in awe of God!!! I’m perfectly ok. Body, Soul and Mind. Thank you everyone for the calls, messages prayers and well wishes.”

He had earlier in a video clip called on his fans to thank God on his behalf, saying, “Even as you go to bed tonight, help me thank God. Thank God on my behalf, I am really grateful. You can never believe I walked out of that scene alive.
