Saturday, May 17, 2025, was the climax of the annual Covenant of His Mercy hosted by Prophet Samuel Ademola Oruku on his Mount of Signs and Wonders popularly called Good Morning Jesus Ministries, aka Mountain in the City held in Abule Egba area of Lagos State.
As expected the event is always loaded with a beehive of activities from choir ministration of praise and worship to sessions of prayers and sharing of the word of God, to moments of prophetic experience.
One of the high points of the day was the Celebrant’s Citation which was presented as the living testimonies of the Setman of the ministry, Prophet Samuel Ademola Oruku himself.
In his testimonies, Prophet Oruku shared the stories of how God selected him from his Muslim background to become what and who he is today as a leading man of God in the country, saying, “God has made me to see a lot in life right, as a young boy from my primary school days, until I finally yielded to the call of God.
“I have survived over 10 car accidents because God wanted me to do His work. There was another time a car key of 250 thousand Naira each disappeared, in one night from my office. I am a man that has serious troubles in the past.”
He also disclosed how the Covenant of Mercy came to life.
He revealed, “Covenant of mercy came with my mother. God made me realize I had left the covenant and I should go back to it. It is not about my birthday. It is a programme God has told me to do, and He has assured me that whatever problem you bring here would definitely go, through the covenant.”
Prophet Oruku later recalled many miracles God had performed through the programme in the past.
“There was woman who came here, looking for children. The woman was said to have been without fallopian tube. After waiting for 16 years, I told her to go to Mercy Arena to ask for whatever she needed from God, and she asked for triplet. I also confirmed it by saying I saw a triplet. Later in the year on November 22, she gave birth to triplet. Another woman came and gave birth to twins also.”
Prophet Oruku also used the day to minister to diverse needs.
The programme was held at its premises, 6/8, Shode Street, Off Adepegba Street, Off Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Abule Egba Bus Stop, Lagos State.
The theme for the programme is The Power of His Mercy Can Solve It, and it was held from Wednesday 14 to Saturday May 17, 2025 starting from 7.00am daily.
The programme was graced by top ministers of God like Evang. Ojo Ade, Apostle Dr. I. O. Olagoke, Pastor Sola Akanmu, Pastor Matthew Adu, Pastor Osho Pakuta, Pastor Felix Ijiwade, and top Gospel music ministers like Evang. Elijah Akintunde, Evang. Odun Akins, Evang. Bunmi Akinnaanu and Dunni Olanrewaju aka Opelope Anointing.
Good Morning Jesus is an interdenominational prayer ministry bringing participants and all lovers of prayers together to find solution to their life problems and challenges.
For the great success achieved with the celebration, Prophet Oruku expressed his appreciation to all the congregation which came from far and wide to be part of the programme.
