It was an atmosphere of wild jubilation and excitement on Friday 16th December, 2022 when Prophetess Justina Eze added another year of her birthday.
Members of her Church Greater Grace Embassy Church, were gathered at the Church premises later in the day to organise a special and befitting birthday dinner.
At the dinner were church leaders, family and ministers from other Churches who were around to honour the celebrant.
The dinner event created a platform to shower encomiums on the woman of God and appreciate her for her kind gestures and relationships with the members.
One of the members who expressed his dissatisfactions over some unpleasant experiences he had suffered from some pastors in the past which made him to decide not to go to any Church again had a change of heart when he had an encounter with Prophetess Eze.
He said, “I have been six years in the church here. Before I came here I had got tired of going to church. Coming here, I have seen a woman that is consistent in her commitment to God’s service on daily basis. I pray to be like her.
“Anytime you see her, it’s either she is praying, reading the Bible or sharing the word of God with the people. He has proved there is good life in Christ. That made me decide to serve Jesus with her and since I have been coming here, I have no regret. She harbours no hatred but she has been changing and transforming lives.
Another member, Sister Blessing had this to say, “I have been touched by the word of God she preaches strongly here. She purged me of pride. She really fed me with the word that I can now use it to feed others including my children.
“She taught me how to be a mother to my children, and how to be a good wife and a good cook. She is a typical example of those we read about in the Bible. She is a virtuous woman par excellence, a woman of strength, courage and humility, she is a woman of grace. Since I came here I have had no moment of regret coming here.”
Another member appreciated her for being a leader that corrects with love.
“She is a leader who wants the best from her followers. She wants the best for you in your presence and even in your absence. She imparts to people to fulfil purposes. She has deep feeling of love, she is an encourager who does not write people off.”
To her biological son, Pastor Daniel who monitored a profile of clips of her mother, that day was a celebration of grace upon her as a God’s servant.
According to the profile, Prophetess Justina Eze began her ministerial life in 1987 when she received her calling, and she later yielded to the call in 1992 under Prophet Onwuvuje who was her father in the Lord. She had her ordination in 2000. She attended All Nations Christian University under Professor Godwin Onwuka, she started as Living Word Assembly before changing the church name to Greater Grace Embassy Church, and moving to her present location at 1, Taiwo Adewole Street, Abule Egba by new Oko Oba side.
The evening was loaded with lots of fun as guests and members were treated to sessions of melodious music, particularly Igbo traditional Oghene music, light refreshments and taste of the birthday cat which was cut by the celebrant.
The celebrant expressed her thanks to her Church members for putting up such a glamorous dinner to honour her.
Other aspects of the celebration was a novelty match on Saturday and thanksgiving on Sunday.
