The Very Revd. Adebola Ayodeji Ojofeitimi has been appointed as the Bishop Elect of Ilesa South West Diocese, with the headquarters at the Cathedral Church of Holy Trinity Omofe, llesa, Osun State.
Excited members of the new diocese have applauded the choice of the Bishop elect seeing it as the coming of the homeboy, noting that the Very Revd. Ojofeitimi was born and groomed in the Church of Holy Trinity, Omoofe, Ilesa.
“He was once a chorister in that church, and his late grandfather, Papa JB Ojofeitimi, as well as his late Uncle, Pa Sanya Ojofeitimi, also served as Baba Ijo of the same church.”
The Very Rev’d. Dr. Adebola Ayodeji Ojofeitimi is from Ilesha in Osun State. He trained for the ministry at Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education at Samonda, Ibadan. To hone his ministerial skills, he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Theology (BTh), Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Theology (MTh), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Crowther Graduate Theological Seminary between 2010 and 2022.
Before his lordship’s election as Bishop, he was the Provost in charge of the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina Lagos, the Headquarters of the Diocese of Lagos.
A statement by the Enthronement Logistics and Publicity Committee Chairman, Baba Oba Tony Igbaroola, the Consecration will by God’s Grace take place at the Standing Committee Meeting of the Anglican Communion scheduled for Tuesday, 16th September 2025 at Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The Enthronement will be the height of a beehive of activities which are already being planned by the Bishopscourt Renovations and Arrivals Committee scheduled for September, 2025.
Bishop Ojofeitimi succeeds Bishop Samuel Olukunle Egbebunmi who retired in April this year, 2025.
