Vicinity 95.3FM situated in Ikeji Ile Ijesa in Osun State has got a new General Manager. He is AKOLADE ADEKOLA an Osun State based ace broadcaster and media personality.
Adekola took over in August, 2025.
Before his latest appointment, Adekola aka Omo Baba Overseer has worked with Timsed FM, Uniq 103.1FM, Ilesa and Yes 101.7 FM, Ibadan, among other popular radio stations in South Western part of Nigeria, where he anchored popular programmes with popular listenership.
Given his professional experience spanning two decades in the radio broadcast industry, talented Adekola described the new role as an opportunity to serve the public through quality broadcasting.
Meanwhile, it has been a torrent of goodwill messages from the listeners of Vicinity FM in Nigeria and overseas as they expect the new General Manager to take the growing media outfit to greater heights.
Vicinity 95.3 FM floated by Dr. Abiodun Badewa, a medical doctor turned media merchant came on air June last year, and barely one year it has warmed itself into the hearts of the listeners with clear signals far and wide covering its neighbouring states like Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and even Oyo and Kwara States.
Prominent among its inspiring and exciting programmes are Breakfast News and Current Affairs, Sports, Politics, Educational and Entertainment, Grassroot and Interactive Presentations by its young and dynamic team.
Local listeners around the neighbouring communities have also been treated with rich presentations in the local dialects in Ijesa, Ekiti and Ikeji tongues which have attracted Vicinity FM to home boys and girls from all parts of the world.
It is expected that with the coming of Omo Baba Overseer, Vicinity FM will take its rightful space in the list of leading broadcasting stations not only in Osun State, but also in Nigeria and globally.
